"ALOPHH"

I came across this "song" when I was cleaning up the playroom. I instantly knew that it was written by MeMe, but I was a little unsure about the title. When I asked her about it, she said the song was called, "Jesus Was Born In Bethlehem". I find songs written by AK all the time...so when I found this one, I was a little surprised. I can't believe that I have two singer/songwriters in the family.

I bet you're wondering if I'm worried about where all of this will lead the girls? When my girls start dressing up like divas and singing bad karaoke with Dustin...then I'll start to worry! Hee Hee!

Over a month ago, we had a spirit week at school. One day was 'twin day'. I dressed up as Sarah Palin.... my long lost twin. By the end of the day, my Up-Do was falling... but here is a picture that Bessie took.

Haircutting 101

If you ever decide to cut 9 inches off your hair, there are several tips that you might want to consider before you get started:

1. Never use an adult-sized pair of "Fiskars" scissors.

2. Never cut your hair while standing over a basket filled with plastic Easter eggs.

3. Never deny that you cut your hair...especially when it's obvious that at least one-fourth of it is missing from your head.

4. If you do decide to cut your own hair, never smile at yourself in the mirror...when your mother is standing behind you in total shock (while trying to hold back a river of tears).

5. Always remember that you're beautiful...no matter how silly you look!

Old Picture

The other night Bill was looking at some old pictures that belonged to his mom and dad. This is a picture of the Big Spring Well in downtown Huntsville. The date that his mom wrote on the picture reads 7-18-37. Jenny, he also found three pictures of Guntersville. Pretty neat!

Spooks

Here are a few spooks that visited my house on Halloween. Mom , Dad, Jodie, and her spooks joined us for a night full of fun! We had a total of 252 trick-or-treaters, too. What a night! Even though we encountered quite a few wacky costumes...nothing was as crazy as the nun that appeared on the blog a few days ago.

Music Class

I take a Mom and Me Music Class with Brooke. She loves it and I do too! It's a lot of fun. I'm sure most of you have her her rendition of "HELLO EVERYBODY". Last week they could wear their costumes. Brooke was a bunny on Friday, but I thought she would be too hot at music, so she was a ballerina.

Last night when I was quietly tucking MeMe into bed, she suddenly yelled, "Be careful! You just stepped on my crapbook!"

So I quickly said, "Excuse me? I stepped on your what?"

MeMe very sarcastically said, "You know...those things that you make...with pictures and words." And of course, her explanation ended with a "Duh!" expression.

I know I'm not the only one that has had a crazy week so far, but shoo!! The thing is I really don't understand why it's been so hectic. It also continued this morning with David locking his keys in his truck...so he had to call a locksmith...Any one else had any crazy things go on this week?

OOOOOOOOOOOklahoma.........

Hey guys! we are having a blast out here! It is SO good to be out here.... and I still can't believe that we are here. We are over at Pris' house tonight for dinner with the whole gang... (in fact Elsie is barking at me right now). We were able to go to D's first soccer game, and he was AWESOME! He was the fastest kid out there, and scored several goals! Here are a few quick picks...

Meet Mr. Muffins

I would like to introduce..."Mr. Muffins Jones". He is the newest addition to our family. One day, he walked out of the woods (from behind our house) and started meowing at our back door. When he got the kids' attention, they gave him a name, fed him a bowl of cat food, and he's been our cat ever since. Shortly after his arrival, he was neutered and brought up to date on all of his shots. He was even given a collar and i.d. tag from Dorris Anne. She loves all of her "grandcats".

Muffins has a "brother" cat that comes around every week or so. MeMe has named him..."Cupcake". He doesn't stay long when he visits Muffins. We think that Cupcake knows if he hangs around too long...he's taking a trip to see the Vet.
