I am so ready for Spring!! The last several days it has been wonderful here with highs in the 60's and low 70's!! I cant wait to open up my windows and let the wintertime blahs out. And we all know that Spring time leads to BEACH TIME!!!

Yes...We All Know One...

Some we work with, some we are friends with and yes, some we live with!! There are always some that just dont quite get it..Or the ones I like to call half-steps. Half-steppers are those we know who are always one half-step behind.. be it in conversations, work-related or life in general. Sometimes these drive me to distraction. These are those who after a big crunch at work come and ask if there's anything they need to do..AFTER its over and you had frantically gathered information, or at home after WE take the garbage out, foolishly say...Well I was GOING to... (yes, 17 yrs olds are foolish) Or the small almost 13 yr old that has turned her closet into an office, complete with phone and chair, who when you can't find her and open the closet door, it says, "excuse me but I'm on the phone"....
SERENITY NOW!!! Sorry can you tell its been one of those days? I may have to go see my people!!

Drama..........

Not that our family needs more drama.... but did you know that Abby Kaye is in a school play tonight? Yep... she is making her stage debut as Mrs. Martha Washington! Here are a few pics of the young actress in her designer dress by J. Jones!

When Can We Go?

The last two days here in Huntsville have been unseasonably warm. It has been in the 60's!!! Although its not going to last and they are calling for snow this weekend..brrrr

I personally CANNOT stand cold weather at all and the older I get the more it bothers me. Heaven forbid we get one of Mamaw's chills...I know Dad and Wallace have had them, luckily (right) I'm so involved in hot flashes, I haven't gotten the chills yet....

I just want to go to the beach. Is that too much to ask? :-)

I've posted this picture today in celebration of Granny commenting on our blog site!! Yeah Granny!!! Again I must make note that I am smiling angelically again and already had some kicking fashion sense with the purse slung across my body....but check out how young Granny was and look at Bubby and Mr. Wiggles!!!

I loved living on Hester Lane but I must say one thing that comes to mind when i look at this picture....BAGWORMS!!

Come on guys look at the bush behind us and remember all the days we stood outside and pulled bagworms off of those bushes and smushed them!!! No one at my work knows what bagworms are and I've never heard of them since....we did it so often we had to be bagworm professionals!! But the question of the day is, did our family single handedly wipe them out??? Are they now extinct???

And why didnt Jenny, Jodie and Wallace get to experience such things??? Well after careful research I have actually found a picture of one. Just looking at it makes me shudder!!

Have you ever wondered?

Have you ever noticed the lone shoes laying on the sides of the roads and interstates? Well here in Huntsville they are all over the place and it drives me crazy!! Why? Why is there only one shoe? Is this a new fad that we dont know about? Is it a form of punishment that someone throws only ONE shoe out of a moving car? You NEVER see a matching pair. Is this what we are supposed to do with our shoes if we lose or something happens to the matching set? Someone please, please fill me in.....

Well I thought I would bring out one of our tribes earlier pictures to see if we just might get a few more responses..My we were a lovely bunch weren't we?

I will add that Grandon and I are the only ones that are smiling like we are supposed to, Mae looks like shes fixing to spit on Grandon, Pris looks like shes trying to pose like a model, Pete looks taken by surprise and you gotta love those skinny legs in dark socks, Sherry looks like she does when she hasnt eaten and is angry about it and Greg looks like hes so happy to be there!!!!

But we still do all dat luvin!!!!

This is how it all got started.....

Welcome Everyone

Since this picture for some reason got everything started .... from drinking in pubs, pulling the sheep over peoples eyes and establishing that some of us have native american blood. I thought I would create our own family blog. This way we can all chat and make comments when we can, even if its after hours. ( Granny-we hope you too will add to our postings ) I hope this will be a great way for us all to keep in touch and have fun.

And if you DON'T post every now and then, you just never know what pictures might appear.......
