Yes Dustin did get one big present this year...his own mini fridge for his room. He wanted me to take some pictures to show everyone. Who knew this would make him so happy? :-) But i will have to say he did NOT know what the ice trays were for....notice one is sitting on the shelf LOL!

Ok today I went out to check my mail and yes its wonderful being off of work all week, when I get this letter. well I open it to see if it was a Christmas card and low and behold...its a mystery. Who is this woman with dad? I cracked up when I saw it...No wonder she was so good at Pac man .... :-)

Santa!

Anyone who has asked Brooke about Santa, knows she is not too fond of this Jolly Fellow! She mostly wants to observe from the distance. So.... it was quite unexpected that I could get her to sit in his lap. Her eyes teared up, but then she got better. I don't think she ever said anything though. She didn't ask for her 'pony'.

Sad Day

we lost a chicken a few days ago. It was mary. she was a little special (in that she was slow and had trouble reading) and sometimes layed tiny tiny eggs. we will always remember her.

Guitar Star

The Lake Guntersville Music Academy presented Jack with this award on Saturday. Jack, along with other students from the music school, participated in a recital this weekend. We are so proud of Jack! He is such a great guitar student. I have pictures from the recital, but they are still on my camera.

Good News!!!!

Hey mom & dad,

I have some great news! I went to the dentist today and they said that there was nothing wrong with my teeth!!! What a relief!!!! They said that I don't need a checkup for another two years!!! Thanks for teaching me good dental hygiene when I was a kid... all those nights dad made me get out of bed and brush my teeth have paid off!!!

Spooks and Pirates

Here are a few pictures from Guntersville. We had so much fun! The weather was a little chilly, but that didn't stop the trick-or-treaters. Pirate Don and his trusty (and hyper) dog, Genevieve passed out candy. Pirate Don lost count after 228 spooks stopped by, but we're thinking that we had close to 240 in all. Not too bad, matey!

Halloween Party at Preschool!

Party time!

We had our annual Halloween party at the kids' story time this year! All the kids wore costumes..... we read scary stories.... we played 'musical statues' to the Monster Mash song...... and we had tons of sweets and drinks! It turned out to be a hit.

Here is a picture that D took of me reading to the kids... you can't tell by the picture, but there were over 30 kids and their parents there!

The bathroom remodeling continues...

Last weekend we took up the carpet and added tile and i love it! Now i cant wait until we can do the rest !!

Writing Diva

My Kindergarten Diva is now a writer. She is constantly sounding out words and writing them down. The other day she gave me an "apology" note that she had written. She felt the need to write an apology because of a comment that she had made about me earlier in the day. Since I had heard the comment, I was quickly able to understand and appreciate the thoughtfully written note.

I've posted the note (in case you would like a good laugh) along with her Kindergarten picture.

On their way...

Well.. mom and dad are on their way back to you. In fact, they should be getting close to Atlanta right now! We had a wonderful time with them... please keep reminding them that they don't have to wait 2 more years to come back!

Back again...

We are back from our little road trip. The weather was nice, but the beaches were nicer. Our B&B was located right on the most beautiful beach... needless to say... we had to go out and look for some shells!

Jones Properties 1st Crisis Averted....

All will be glad to know that the first Jones Properties crisis has been averted!! One of Dads tenants called with a stopped up toilet on Mastin Lake...well David has now unstopped the toilet and all is well in the rental property world as of right now..
